Paddle the Androscoggin River
or one of many lakes in the region.
Birch Bend is only a half mile from the Shelburne Double Bridges launch on the Androscoggin River. We currently have two kayaks and two canoes for rent and we do portage. You can do half or full day trips, This section of the river is Class I and II, it is very calm and perfect for novices. You are sure to encounter wildlife: we've seen moose, eagles and bear - just to name a few. We guarantee your time spent paddling will be fun and relaxing!
Another option is to take your boat for the day to one of many ponds or lakes in the region: Jericho Lake and Lake Umbagog are stunning.
